Dr. Jay Shah is one of our newest physicians joining the group. Dr. Jay Shah grew up in
Fremont and, after 13 years of education and training, is excited to call the East Bay his home
again! Throughout his time away from home, he received training from the leading community
specialists and family medicine faculty from East Los Angeles County. His program emphasised
full spectrum family medicine; thus he is well trained in caring for all patients, from newborn to
geriatric care. He also received training in various medical settings, ranging from clinics to
hospitals to nursing homes. Equipped with the knowledge and training, he looks forward to
taking care of patients for all medical needs.

He has extensive training in the following primary care-related conditions:
● Treating chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol
● Managing acute complaints
● Comprehensive annual wellness visits
● Recommending specialists for treatment outside of our capacity
● Educating patients in health management and disease prevention
● Individualized patient health plans

He also completed an additional year of training in primary care sports medicine. He was an
assistant team physician for professional organizations including Baylor University Bears (NCAA
Division 1, Big 12 Conference), Ontario Reign (AHL), and AC Clippers (NBA G-League). He has
also been a team physician for a variety of colleges and high schools and has extensive
experience with mass sporting events.
