Dr Jay Shah

Dr. Jay Shah is one of our newest physicians joining the group. Dr. Shah grew up in Fremont
and, after 13 years of education and training, is excited to call the East Bay his home again!
Throughout his time away from home, he was an assistant team physician for professional
organizations including Baylor University Bears (NCAA Division 1, Big 12), Ontario Reign (AHL),
and AC Clippers (G-League). He has also been a team physician for a variety of colleges and
high schools and has extensive experience with mass sporting events.

He has extensive training in the following musculoskeletal conditions:

● Non-Operative Fracture Management
● Acute and Chronic Musculoskeletal Complaints
● Pre-Participation Physicals
● Diagnostic Ultrasound
● Ultrasound-Guided Joint, Tendon Sheath, and Nerve Entrapment Injections
● Concussion Management
● Sports Nutrition
● Degenerative Medicine (Osteoarthritis)
● Primary Care Concerns for the Athlete

Dr. Shah aspires to build his practice around the concept of “exercise is medicine”. He
developed a passion towards preventing chronic diseases, but, at the same time, practices
evidence-based medicine to help those with acute and/or chronic illnesses.
In his spare time, he likes to exercise, spend time with his family and friends, and play/watch
sports.
