Mary Borses

Position: Cardiologist

Dr. Borses is a Board Certified Cardiologist and Fellow of the American College of Cardiologists with an impeccable reputation for providing the highest quality of comprehensive and state of the art cardiac care to her patients.  She has been practicing the compassionate delivery of medicine for over twenty years.  After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Biology at UC Davis, she became an officer in the US Army and received her Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University in Maryland.  She completed an Internal Medicine residency in Honolulu and Cardiology Fellowship at Ft Sam Houston.  She was honored to serve as Chief of Medicine at Ft Eustis, Virginia, and Chief of Cardiology at Ft Hood, Texas.  She is thrilled to return to California to be close to her extended family and to have started a new practice with California Cardiovascular Consultants and Medical Associates (CCCMA). 

Dr. Borses strives to be the best Cardiologist possible to her patients. Her motto is “Treat all patients like family”.   She truly enjoys developing close relationships with her patients and their families, with the goal of optimizing both their medical and emotional well- being.  She is especially interested in helping patients with symptoms of chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, fainting, fluid retention, fatigue, and stroke.  Areas of special interest include the evaluation and management of coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, and pacemakers.  Her goal is to prevent cardiovascular complications before they arise and to deliver evidenced- based medicine with the highest level of compassion.  She personally follows her patients at Washington Hospital when admitted to achieve the best outcomes for them. 

NOTE: During this unfortunate pandemic period, Dr. Borses will be providing telemedicine consultation for all her patients. She is also happy to provide consultation for new patients during this difficult time period.
